After a long and painful illness, Mrs. Louisa Olive Brock, daughter of the late Prof. L. D. Williams of Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa., and the beloved wife of Major S.G. Brock of this city, died at their home on Locust and Broadway, this morning, September 26, 1913 at 9:20 o'clock.

Deceased was born May 8, 1838 at Chargin Falls, Ohio, and came with her husband to Macon, April 29, 1868. She was a devoted wife and mother and since the age of ten years a faithful member of the M.E. Church. She was highly educated and one of Macon's most cultured and refined women and in former years, before her ill health overtook her, she was actively engaged in club and social work. Associated at one time with Frances E. Willard, Clara Hoffman, and other prominent women in State and National Temperance work. Several years ago, soon after the organization of the Ann Helm Chapter, D.A.R., of which Mrs. Brock was a charter member, she went as a delegate to the National convention in Washington, D.C. She was an active worker in all movements for the city's welfare and took great interest in her church in all departments.

A host of friends deeply sympathize with the bereaved family and deplore the loss of a friend they themselves have sustained in the death of this beloved wife and mother.

The near relatives who survive her are her husband, Major S.G. Brock, her two sons, Sidney L. Brock, of Oklahoma City, B.B. Brock of Chicago, a sister, Mrs. George I. Wright, of Oakland, Calif, a brother, Octavius L. Williams, Madison Wis, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maude D. Brock, granddaughter, Emma Louise Brock, and niece, Mrs. A.F. Maffry of this city.

The funeral services will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, her pastor, Dr. S. Carothers, officiating. Burial in Oakwood cemetery.
