Dear Children I will inform you that
we are all a tolorable state of health at this
time Except your mother She is some better them
she was but very poorly at this time She
is so as she acts up some I neglected writing
till now expecting you down Amos Rathbun has
bin Down he said he saw you in Batava and
said you was a coming down but your letter
inform us to the contrary - you wight? to know
the town & county that abrahaham lives in
he lives in Lewis town & county of fulton -
We have had a letter from ?berg lately
that informed us of the Death of unckle Jobe
Congdon and of Warren Vail he died in South
america with the sun fever you wight me to
come and make you a Visit this winter but
I cant come - I and sorry that you are so 
poor that you could not give your unckle amos
nothing to eate nether his house when I had got
him to go five miles out of his way to let you
know how we Did I add no more fair well
